In the summer transfer window, Manchester United opted to let Diogo Dalot leave on loan to AC Milan and the youngster is performing well with the Rossoneri.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then yet another right back could leave, this time in the winter transfer window.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Timothy Fosu-Mensah could end up departing the Old Trafford outfit. The Norwegian manager sated (via Goal):

“I’m not sure if Timo is going to stay or he’s going to take an option now,”

“He’s not played enough, so of course he’s been allowed to speak to clubs, with a view to leaving now in January. It’s difficult when you’ve got good players, talented players, and you can’t give them game time. He’s now at the stage where he needs to go and play again.”

The 23-year-old has mainly been a bench warmer in the current campaign and so far, he has only made 3 appearances for the first team (1 start).

To play regular first team football, the Dutch right back should leave but if that happens, Man Utd must seal the signing of a new right back in the January transfer window. You can always bet money on who will end up signing for the Red Devils this month.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is top class in the right back role but there is no one good enough to cover for him. The likes of Tuanzebe and Lindelof have been deployed in the wide position this term but they are natural center backs.

Moreover, it must be taken into consideration that going forward in the attack, Wan-Bissaka has not been effective and we need a versatile wing-back who can be productive in the offensive third as well.

In your view, who should Man United sign to strengthen their right back position in the winter transfer window?
