Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard’s agent have reportedly held talks with Ligue 1 outfits Nice over a potential loan move to the French outfit.
The 28-year-old midfielder featured in the FA Cup for the 20-times English champions on Saturday, playing 80 minutes of his team’s 1-0 victory over Championship outfit Watford.
The England international has not been handed a single minute of English top-tier football this campaign, though, and was not even in the squad for Tuesday’s clash with Burnley.
Serie A giants, Inter Milan have recently been rumoured with a loan move, however, according to Sky Sports News, Nice are firmly in the hunt for the attacker’s services.
The report suggests that Frank Lingard’s agent have held talks with the Ligue 1 outfit, and an official approach from Adrian Ursea’s side is expected next week.
The Englishman, who has a deal at Old Trafford until the summer of 2022, has found back of the net 33 times and provided 20 assists in 210 games for the 20-time English champions.
Meanwhile, Manchester United versatile defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has finalised a move to Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen for £1.75million.
The 23-year-old defender left the Ajax youth set-up to link up with the 20-times English champion back in 2014 and went onto play 30 times in all competitions for the first squad.
Fosu-Mensah has now signed a contract until 2024 at Leverkusen, who the PA news agency understands paid the Red Devils in the region of 2million euros (£1.75million)
