Manchester United have been interested in Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the past and the Serbian international is once again on their radar.

Last year, Le10Sportreported about the Old Trafford club’s interest in signing the Lazio star, however, he stayed put with the Serie A side.

Now, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Man Utd are ready to court again to finally sign the versatile midfielder in the next transfer window

However, the renowned Italian media outlet have mentioned that the Red Devils face competition to hire his services as the likes of Spanish champions Real Madrid and French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also looking to get his signing done.

Milinkovioc-Savic is a versatile player, who is naturally a central midfielder but can effectively play in the attacking third as well. This season, in 26 league appearances so far, he has directly contributed in 16 goals (7 goals and 9 assists) for the Biancocelesti.

The 26-year-old’s current contract will expire in 2024 and as far as his valuation is concerned, yesterday, Calcio Mercatoreported that Lazio would demand at least 80 million euros (£69million) from the sale of their star midfielder, who is also on the radar of Juventus and Inter Milan.

Man Utd’s most creative CM is Paul Pogba but unfortunately, the Frenchman has spent a lot of time out injured in the past year and a half. Moreover, his future at the club is always uncertain.

It must be remembered that under Ole, the Red Devils have not reinforced things in the center of the park. Their last big midfield signing was secured in the summer of 2018 with the arrival of Fred and back then, Mourinho was in charge of the club.

Should Solskjaer splash £69million to finally sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for the Old Trafford outfit?
