Manchester United have been interested in luring French international and Real Madrid center back, Raphael Varane, for a very long time.
As per the latest reports, the Les Bleus player has encouraged Man Utd to finally secure the signing in the next transfer window.
According to The Daily Mail, the Red Devils will chase the 27-year-old star this summer and they have received encouragement from the player, who wants to leave the Los Blancos in the summer transfer window.
The former Lens player’s current contract at the Bernabeu will expire next year and therefore, his market value is not extremely high for a decorated player like him.
The British media outlet have mentioned that Varane is valued at around £60million but Man Utd would still want to drive the price down to lure their long term target.
Solskjaer wants a center half to partner Maguire next season and the 73-capped international is considered as the perfect partner.
The Frenchman has won ever major title multiple times with Real Madrid and he has been a highly important member of Zidane’e squad. If the Spanish giants win the Champions League this term then that would be Varane’s 5th European Cup.
