Manchester United’s efforts to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund are getting stronger and reports have been highly positive today.
Fabrizio Romano tweeted that the Red Devils have agreed a five year contract with the Three Lions star and are now in talks to reach an agreement with the German side over a fee.
If reports are to be believed then Man Utd have agreed terms that will make Sancho earn around £250,000 a week, £65million until 2026.
Sky Sports’ famous reporter, Dharmesh Sheth, has claimed that agreeing a contract with the player has not been an issue this year for Man Utd because the terms were ‘effectively finalized’ last summer.
Last year, before the deal broke down with Dortmund, Man Utd were able to agree a contract with the player worth £250,000 a week as per a report covered by Fabrizio Romano for The Guardian.
The Italian journalist has now mentioned that to seal the signing, BvB want a fee of 95 million euros i.e. around £82million.
On the other hand, Sheth thinks that a deal could be potentially struck for £80million. He further stated that the player’s current contract in Germany will expire in 2023 and Dortmund do not want to get to next year with a scenario in which the player might think about leaving for free. So, his departure is highly likely this summer.
Sancho has directly contributed in more than 30 goals in each of his three seasons in the Bundesliga since leaving Manchester City. Will he finally end up signing for Man Utd? We think so.
