Manchester United could allegedly switch their attention to Norwich City’s central defender Max Aarons if they fail to sign Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier during this summer’s transfer market.
The Red Devils are seemingly interested in bringing a new right-back to the club ahead of next campaign but have thus far been frustrated in their pursuit of Kieran.
According to a recent report from ESPN, the 20-time English champions are reluctant to spend more than £30 million on the England international, who has impressed for Los Rojiblancos since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur.
The report states that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could instead swoop for Aarons, who is also understood to be a target for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the current market.
The 21-year-old star excelled for Norwich during the 2020-21 term, contributing two goals and five assists in 45 league matches for the Championship winners.
Max also made a strong impression for the Canaries during the 2019-20 campaign in the Premier League, in spite of his team’s relegation back to the second tier.
Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund have set Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side a deadline of the middle of July to come to terms over a transfer sum for Jadon Sancho, German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten claims.
