Sheffield United could launch a January loan move for Manchester United misfit Jesse Lingard, according to reports.

The attacker is set to go a full calendar year without starting a Premier League game. His last was on January 1 when his side lost 2-0 at Arsenal.

This campaign his only two games for the 20-times English champions came in the EFL Cup in September.

Clearly, Jesse is not part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s plan as the forward enters the final six months of his existing deal and the 28-year-old star is now pondering his next move.

The Blades could be the short-term solution, according to a recent report in the Manchester Evening News.

MEN say that head coach Chris Wilder spoke with Ole about a loan deal for Lingard after last week’s game at Bramall Lane.

The two teams have a good relationship although there is one obvious problem.

Lingard is said to earn £100,000 and the Old Trafford club want their league rivals to pay the majority of that in any loan deal.

Elsewhere, defender Brandon Williams has allegedly emerged as a possible transfer target for Bayer Leverkusen.

The 20-year-old full-back has made 41 appearances in all competitions for his side since being promoted from the Red Devils’ academy setup.

However, the signing of Alex Telles has resulted in the left-back dropping down the pecking order with just five games coming his way during 2020-21.

With the board said to be open to a loan exit in January, The Telegraph states that Leverkusen are keen on the youngster.
