Manchester United have allegedly emerged as frontrunners to sign Eduardo Camavinga in the summer.
According to a recent report by Spanish daily AS, the Old Trafford side could enter the fray for Eduardo’s signature if Real Madrid don’t make their own move quickly.
It is said that the promising midfielder could be available for €30-40m, which wouldn’t be too difficult for Manchester United to raise in an attempt to strengthen their squad.
Los Blancos were previously earmarked as Eduardo’s next destination, but their financial difficulties meant the Spanish side couldn’t make a bid for him in 2020.
That opened the doors for the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to make a move for the star.
It is understood that Eduardo has his sights set on a move to La Liga but he might find it difficult to reject Ole Gunnar Solskajer if the Red Devils make an official bid for him.
The potential departure of Paul Pogba this summer could pave the way for his fellow countryman to replace him at Old Trafford.
Eduardo Camavinga is one of the most in-demand young players in Europe, following his impressive showings for Rennes in the last few seasons.
The club are a long way off their 3rd-place finish last term. The absence of continental football, coupled with the financial problems brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, means they might have to part company with Eduardo Camanvinga next summer.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea have all been linked with the highly-rated Frenchman, and he could well be lining up for one of the continent’s biggest clubs next season.
