Manchester United haven’t made any enquiries for Sporting Lisbon attacker Pedro Goncalves despite the speculation mentioning him with the club, according to journalist Jonathan Shrager.
The 22-year-old star has caught the eye of several clubs this campaign with his performances for Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.
He has netted 15 times in 21 league appearances for the club and it has led to talk over his future as the summer transfer market draws ever closer.
Manchester United are believed to be monitoring him and are considering launching a move for him in the summer transfer window.
But it has been stated that the Red Devils haven’t gone in with an enquiry for the technically gifted player.
It has been suggested that there will be strong interest in the Sporting Lisbon star in the summer, but the LIons do not want to sell him.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants a right-sided attacker and it remains to be seen whether Pedro is in his sights ahead of the summer.
Sporting Lisbon are keen to offer him a fresh deal as they expect several clubs to make a bid for the 22-year-old in the coming months.
His current contract runs until June 2025 and it contains a buy-out clause worth €60 million.
