Harry Kane drops hint regarding his Tottenham future as Manchester United links continue
Speaking after the London Football Awards on Tuesday night (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United transfer target Harry Kane clearly underlined his desire to win team trophies.
Kane has spent his entire career on Spurs’ books and has gone on to become one of the best strikers in the world. Despite Spurs being 7th in the table, Kane has scored 31 goals in all competitions this season.
That is a brilliant return from the Englishman but it is nothing new. The 27-year-old has been doing this for a number of seasons running and has won the Premier League Golden Boot multiple times too.
And that goes on top of a number of individual accolades he has won during his time at N17. But more than any of those trophies, Kane says he wants to win silverware with the team.
“Individual awards are great, they are fantastic achievements. When I look back at the end of my career. I will go over it and take in a little bit more. The goal right now as a player is to win team trophies. As much as this [award] is great, I want to be winning the biggest prizes that there is to offer as a team.”
He has a number of suitors across Europe, and United are one of them. The Red Devils are understood to have prioritised signing a striker in the summer transfer window. (h/t Manchester evening news)
And it would be hard to find a United fan who would say no to this move. Kane’s goals could really turn out to be the difference between finishing second and winning the big titles.
