It’s time. MUFC host Newcastle United this weekend, with our all-important predicted XI now in…

Manchester United welcome home their prodigal son this weekend, twelve years after he departed for Real Madrid as the most expensive player in football history at the time.

Old Trafford is going to produce a wall of noise come 15:00 BST on Saturday. Ronaldo will make his entrance in front of the home crowd, as Newcastle United prepare to try and resist the Greatest of All Time.

Steve Bruce will be here to upset the party, make no mistake about that. This is a Magpies side who are looking to prove a point, they’re a good team who need to be respected.

Anyway, enough Ronaldo-talk, let’s get right into the team news here. You’ll never guess who we’ve got playing at striker…

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Newcastle United in full here:

David de Gea is now the easy choice to start in between the sticks, particularly while Dean Henderson is still working his way back to full fitness.

The back four seems to pick itself at the moment. From right to left, we go with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw. This defensive unit, when in full flow, can compete with the best back lines in the world.

Scott McTominay was back in training this weekfollowing a minor surgical procedure. We’re hopeful he’ll be fit enough to partake in this one from the off. We’re certainly going to need him. Bruno Fernandes always starts when fit, with Paul Pogba completing the midfield trio.

Here’s where things get truly exciting. Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line for Manchester United Football Club. Mason Greenwood is bang in form so it’d be rude to drop him here, with Jadon Sancho completing the side.

On the bench, you’ll have the likes of Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek and many others ready to make an impact.

I’d like to think the starting line-up have enough quality to get the job done, though…
