Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard is allegedly wanted by Inter Milan on loan.

The Mirror reports Inter manager Antonio Conte is a big fan of the England international and wants to bring him to Italy.

The 28-year-old star has played just three times in the cup this campaign and has only made four out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s 17 matchday rosters in the Premier League.

Lingard started in his side’s 1-0 win against Xisco’s Watford in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.

But the star could be heading for the exit door with Ole reportedly ready to let him leave after Jesse fell well down the Norwegian’s pecking order.

Lingard would join the ex-Red Devils contingent at the San Siro with Alexis Sanchez, Ashley Young and Romelu Lukaku plying their trade under ex-Chelsea chief Conte.

And the report states Antonio has been nudged in Jesse’s direction by positive reports from both Young and Lukaku.

However, a transfer is thought to rely on the Italian tactician’s ability to offload Christian Eriksen.

The Dane has flopped at the club since quitting Tottenham a year ago and is being offered around on loan.

Wolves, Ajax and West Ham have all been linked with the midfielder who Inter paid £17 million for in January 2020.

Lukaku left United for Italy in 2019 as the Nerazzurri paid £74 million for the Belgian forward.

The powerful attacker has been a hit at the club, smashing 50 goals in 72 games along with nine assists.

Former United skipper Ashley made the same move one year ago for around £1.5 million and has laid on two assists in 14 league games this season.

Sanchez moved to Milan on loan in the summer of 2019 before making a permanent move 12 months later.
