The Blaugrana are reportedly considering a transfer swoop for in-form Red Devils attacker Anthony Martial. The 24-year-old has an asking price of nearly £45m, but one imagines Man United may well ask for more than that after his fine recent form.

Anthony has shone with 21 goals and five assists in all tournaments so far this campaign, finally living up to the huge potential he showed as a teenager before his career seemed to stall somewhat. It’s little wonder the Blaugrana are interested in Martial as they could do with making some changes to their front-line this summer.

Luis Suarez stays a quality footballer but is a little over the hill, while the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele haven’t really been good enough. France international seems like he could fit in well in Barcelona’s attack, but the Red Devils supporters will surely be hoping the club won’t accept an offer for him now.

The French forward may not have been the most consistent performer in recent years but finally seems to have found his feet in the Norwegian manager’s new-look front three alongside Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

The Norwegian manager has put faith in the teenager after recognising his talent as a centre-forward and got an ideal response in the form of the best campaign of his career so far.

Anthony’s displays are in stark contrast with the opinions of former boss Jose Mourinho, who increasingly seems to have got it wrong with the former Monaco teenager during his time at Theatre of Dreams.
