Kounde’s form have unsurprisingly led to interest from another top European team, with Real Madrid and Manchester United rumoured to planning bid for the France Under-21s international.

Now, The Athletic reports that the Gunners have also taken a liking to Kounde, as David Luiz is set to follow the footsteps of Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis and depart from the Emirates Stadium ahead of the next campaign.

However, the report claims that it would take a bid of £50m to prise the ex-Bordeaux defender away from Sevilla, while the player himself is unlikely to join a team without Champions League football.

Kounde has been contracted to Sevilla for another three years, and he has already won one Europa League trophy with the club since arriving back in 2019.

Man Utd’s Champions League spot for the next season gives chance for Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s side to add another quality defender to their ranks.
