Manchester United’s Eric Bailly has been plagued with several injuries since he arrived at Old Trafford from Villarreal in 2016.
The Ivorian star will have a year left on his deal after this season.
Last year, the 27-year-old’s entourage said his situation will be assessed if there is no improvement in his playing time. Since then, Eric has made two top-flight appearances and a few more games in other competitions.
According to Grada3, Real Betis are keen on the centre-back and Manuel Pellegrini’s team join Valencia and Villarreal in chasing Eric.
Without a renewal, Aissa Mandi is expected to quit Los Verdiblancos as a free agent once his deal expires on June 30th and Eric could be a replacement for the Algerian.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer no longer counts on the player, which is why the Premier League giants are looking to sell him after this term.
It’s claimed the club’s negotiating position is not strong due to the time left on the player’s current contract, there’s belief of earning close to €10 million from his sale.
United will have to lower their demands since none of the potential buyers in Spain will be ready to pay around €10 million.
In the event, the Red Devils lower their asking price for the star, Real Betis could come in and take advantage of the situation.
