Manchester United reportedly plan to loan young shot-stopper, Nathan Bishop, out after he signed a fresh long-term contract with the club.
The 21-year-old Englishman has agreed on a new deal at the club until June 2023, with the option for a further year.
He joined from Southend United a year ago and has been a regular in senior team training alongside the likes of Sergio Romero, Dean Henderson and David de Gea.
The United talent is yet to make his debut for the first team but will now be loaned out to a Football League outfit in order to continue with his development plan.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that he intends to allow the former England youth international a chance to get more minutes.
He is quoted by The Sun as saying: “Yes, I think Nathan’s next step should be a loan deal. He could be ready for the Championship or League One for sure.
“The young boys need a step up from the U23s, because sometimes that level doesn’t prepare you for a man’s game.”
A number of League One and League Two clubs are already showing an interest with an official announcement on the player’s future expected in the coming days.
The Red Devils have prioritised the development of their youth hopefuls this campaign with 11 players allowed to depart Old Trafford on loan in the summer transfer window.
Despite the fact that not all of the deals have been as successful as others the side is still keen for the brightest youngsters to play meaningful minutes in a senior environment.
