Liverpool are allegedly the latest club to register an interest in the transfer of Aston Villa star and Manchester United midfield target Jack Grealish.
The Englishman has been one of the star performers in the top-flight in the last year or so, looking an outstanding talent who is certainly going to be on the move to a bigger team before too long.
He has been most strongly linked with the Red Devils and is thought to be worth around £90 million, but the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City have also been mentioned as potential suitors.
Now, Spanish media source Don Balon also name him as a player on the Reds’ radar as Jurgen Klopp looks at a host of attacking midfield options.
The Reds had been offered the opportunity to re-sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona, but it looks like they would rather pursue Jack instead.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool will realistically pay up enough to beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to the 25-year-old, but it could be a terrific acquisition if they pull it off.
Jack seems an ideal fit for the Premier League giants’ style of play and could give their attack a new dimension in the seasons to come.
Meantime, Spanish publication La Razon reports that Juan Mata could be set for a return to the La Liga side Valencia, with the club’s chairman Peter Lim allegedly keen on the move.
Mata is out of contract with the Red Devils at the end of the season and Lim is hoping Los Che can strengthen their squad without having to splash out a transfer fee.
However, the report notes that a transfer to Valencia is unlikely to be an attractive move for the Spaniard, with the club just three points off the relegation area.
