Inter Milan have allegedly delivered a major blow to Manchester United and Liverpool over their bid to land midfielder Nicolo Barella.
The 23-year-old star joined Inter on a permanent €40 million deal over the summer after spending last campaign on loan from Cagliari.
He has thus far provided four assists in 10 games for his side this campaign.
The Red Devils, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been mentioned with the Italy international.
However, Calciomercato (as cited by Sports Mole) states that Inter won’t sell the Italian under any circumstances.
The report adds that Nicolo is one of three players who won’t be sold. The other two are centre-half Stefan de Vrij and star striker Romelu Lukaku.
Barella signed a four-year deal with Inter in September. However, it is thought that the Serie A side are already looking to improve that deal.
Blaugrana are also believed to be admirers of the player, who is now rated at €50 million by transfermarkt.
Meantime, Bayern Munich have earmarked Manchester United target Dayot Upamecano as the man to replace ageing Jerome Boateng next season.
Jerome is out of contract with Bayern Munich next summer and the club have decided not to offer him a new deal.
He will leave the Bavarians at the end of the term and the Bundesliga giants are already thinking about whom to bring in to replace the player.
The RB Leipzig prodigy was linked with a transfer to Old Trafford in the summer transfer market but the transfer didn’t materialise.
However, the Red Devils retain their long-standing interest in the player but now they are facing stiff competition.
According to German daily Bild, Die Roten want RB Leipzig’s Upamecano as the man to replace Jerome in their squad next term.
