Manchester United will reportedly have to fend off interest from Serie A giants AC Milan if they are to secure the services of Lens centre-back Facundo Medina.
The 21-year-old has been integral to Lens’ hugely stunning campaign in the French top-tier, making 17 top-flight appearances in the heart of defence and founding back of the net twice along the way.
The Red Devils are believed to have taken a liking to the Argentina international, however, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are reportedly not the only ones hoping to land the highly-rated Lens man in the summer.
According to Calciomercato, Serie A giants, AC Milan are in the market for a replacement for Alessio Romagnoli, and Medina fits the bill what Stefano Pioli is demanding at his backline.
However, the report adds that the Red Devils could soon table a first offer of £11m in an attempt to steal a march on the Italian heavyweights, who are also believed to be interested in Medina’s teammate Loic Bade.
Medina only joined Lens from Argentinian side CA Talleres earlier last summer, and he is contracted to the Ligue 1 club until 2024.
