Manchester United are reportedly keen to secure services of a new right-back to the club in January to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The 23-year-old defender has impressed defensively for the 20-times English champions since arriving from Crystal Palace back in 2019, however, has struggled to contribute in an attacking sense.
According to ESPN, Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s side believe that Wan-Bissaka is lacking competition for a starting spot and want to sign a new right-back to Old Trafford in either winter transfer window or the next summer.
The report suggests that the 20-times English champions are hopeful that a new player ‘will accelerate an improvement’ in the ex-England Under-21 international’s game.
Wan-Bissaka has played 58 games for the Red Devils since his arrival, however, has only scored one goal and provided four assists, while he managed just four assists in 46 appearances for his previous club, Crystal Palace.
Diogo Dalot is currently on loan at Serie A giants, AC Milan, but the Red Devils are allegedly not interested in selling the right-back as they are confident that he will develop into a first-team player in the coming years.
