Manchester United are in pole position to win the Premier League title at the moment but we are not even half way through the season.
The Red Devils do need to reinforce the squad in the winter transfer window and a former Premier League player has claimed that one superstar signing can help them win the title this season.
Gabby Agblonlahor believes that Erling Haaland is the most ‘complete’ striker in world football and Man Utd would win the title if they secure his signing this month.
The ex Aston Villa striker told talkSports:
“You look at the Premier League teams that could do with him now; Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, they could all do with him.”
“What would he do for any of those clubs now? If they had him in January, whoever signed him would win the league.”
Last season, only Lewandowski managed to score more goals than Haaland in the UEFA Champions League. The Norwegian international scored for fun for Salzburg and Dortmund and he has continued to do the same this season as well.
In all competitions this term, so far, the former Molde center forward has featured in 16 games for Dortmund and scored 19 goals. Overall, the 20-year-old, who won the Golden Boy award, has netted 35 goals in 34 appearances for the German club.
Man Utd do need a prolific goal-scorer who would be able to score more than 20 goals at least in the league, something that no Old Trafford star has managed to do since Robin van Persie did it in the title winning 2012-13 campaign.
Agbonlahor claims that it would take a record breaking bid to hire the services of Erling Haaland, who currently earns £130,000-a-week (The Mail). Man United tried to lure him last year but failed. Should they move again to get his signing done this month?
