Premier League giants Manchester City and Manchester Utd reportedly intend to launch an approach for Atletico Madrid playmaker Saul Niguez later in 2020.
The 25-year-old midfield star has spent all but a season of his professional career at Spanish giants, founding back of the net 38 times from 284 games in all competitions.
However, despite the Spaniard having a deal with the club until 2026, it has been reported that the La Liga outfit may consider selling Spanish playmaker in the summer.
According to reports in Spain, the Red Devils and the Citizens continue to keep tabs on the situation ahead of making a bid for the midfielder.
While Atletico Madrid allegedly values Saul in the region of €150m (£141.22m), the Manchester pair are likely to want to negotiate that asking price.
The Red Devils may view Saul as a replacement for their superstar Paul Pogba who has been on the radar of La Liga champions Barcelona and Real Madrid, while City head-coach Pep Guardiola will make changes to his team after a below-par Premier League season.
Another Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey has been rumoured with a switch to Premier League as Arsenal considering a move for the Spanish giants anchorman.
