Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to sign 30-goals in 33-games forward

Man United could reportedly attempt to secure services of Lazio centre-forward Ciro Immobile to Old Trafford ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The 30-year-old has been in stunning form for Lazio this season, founding back of the net 30 times in 33 games, including 27 goals in just 26 Serie A appearences six more than five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Merseyside Blues have recently been rumoured with the securing services of Italy international forward, who has a deal with Simone Inzaghi’s team until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

However, according to Calciomercato, the Red Devils are also currently exploring the possibility of securing the services of the experienced striker in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The report suggests that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are still searching for a long-term replacement for Romelu Lukaku despite managing to extend the deal of Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo.

Immobile’s form this campaign sees him sit second behind Bayern Munich’s centre-forward Robert Lewandowski in the race for the European Golden Boot, while he has scored 116 goals in 167 games for Lazio since joining them from Sevilla back in 2016.

Marcus Rashford has recovered from a back problem over the lockdown period and will be fit to face Tottenham Hotspur on 19 June when the season resumes.
