Saul Niguez has allegedly been given the green light to quit Atletico Madrid amid ongoing links with a transfer to Manchester United and Liverpool.
The Spanish star has made 337 appearances for Los Rojiblancos and still has five years to run on his current deal at the Wanda Metropolitano.
However, the 26-year-old star – who is not part of his country’s Euro 2020 squad – struggled to nail down a regular starting spot last season.
Football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims that Atletico are prepared to cash in on Saul this summer’s transfer market, though it may take an offer of around £68 million to prise him away.
It comes amid reports that Diego Simeone’s side are expected to bring in the Argentine star Rodrigo De Paul from Udinese in the coming days.
United are said to be long-time admirers of Niguez, having been regularly linked with the midfielder in the latest years, while the Anfield outfit are also in the market for another midfielder.
In other news, Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has allegedly decided that he wants to remain at AC Milan for another season.
Dalot featured 33 times for I Rossoneri in all competitions – scoring two goals and grabbing three assists.
