Leicester City are reportedly keen to bring Man United anchorman Nemanja Matic to the King Power Stadium ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The 32-year-old was a regular for the 20-times English champions during the 2020-21 season, playing 36 games in all competitions, and he still has two years left before his deal expires.
Matic is down the pecking order when it comes to the starting midfield spots at Old Trafford, though, and he could struggle to play regular first-team football in the English top-tier.
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, there is ‘serious interest’ from the Foxes in the Serbia international, who could potentially be available at £11m.
Matic has played 157 games for the Red Devils since departing from Chelsea in July 2017.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are believed to be keen to secure the services of a new central midfielder this summer, with West Ham United’s Declan Rice believed to be a top target for the club.
Dortmund’s forward Jadon Sancho set to officially become a Manchester United player after the end of Euro 2020, while his compatriot Harry Kane still remains as the main transfer target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
