Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly registered their interest in landing Swedish youngster Edvin Tellgren.
The 16-year-old broke into the senior team of third division Swedish club, Karlslunds IF, after coming through the ranks of their youth sector.
Operating as a centre-half, the highly-regarded teenager made 14 league appearances for their first-team last season.
His showings for lower division team have caught the attention of sides across Europe, and the list includes Manchester United.
The youngster revealed the Red Devils and the Seagulls’ interest during an interview with the local outlet Nerikes Allehanda.
“I’ve heard from Manchester United and Brighton in England. In Italy it is Parma, Inter and Bologna,” Fotbolltransfers quoted Edvin as saying.
“OSK, Norrkoping, Malmo, IFK Goteborg, Hacken and Sirius in Sweden and then Copenhagen and Brondby in Denmark.”
The gifted youngster further stressed that he has also received proposals from a few of those teams. According to the report, one of them is from the Serie A strugglers Parma, who are ready to hand him a three-year contract.
“First of all, there is interest, but I have contract offers from some of them. There are other offers that also attract,” Tellgren explained.
“There are very different offers and if you go to Italy, you have to go far from home. At the same time, the conditions there are insanely good.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Liverpool have both allegedly scouted Leicester City forward Harvey Barnes during the 2020-21 season.
The 23-year-old star has been in impressive form for the Foxes this season, scoring 13 times and registering four assists in 34 games.
According to The Mirror, the Red Devils and the Reds have had the talented English star watched, but the Foxes are determined to tie the player to a new long-term contract.
