Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid are all believed to be keeping a close tabs on Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract situation at Serie A giants AC Milan.
The Italy international is set to become a free agent in less than three months’ time, and a recent report suggested that he is stalling over a new contract with the Rossoneri after turning down two offers already.
Despite being just 22 years of age, Italy international stopper has been Milan’s number one star since the 2015-16 campaign, although his stunning stint at San Siro could soon be nearing an end if deal talks fail to bear fruit.
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues have been joined by Premier League giants, Man United and Real Madrid in the chase for Donnarumma’s services, while Serie A champions, Juventus are also keeping tabs on the situation closely.
AC Milan supposedly offered Donnarumma improved contract with a yearly salary of £6m plus add-ons, however, his agent Mino Raiola is believed to be holding out for an annual wage of £10.2m for his client, otherwise he will run down his deal and seek pastures new this summer.
Donnarumma has already made 241 games for the Rossoneri across all competitions since his debut at the age of 16, and he has kept nine clean sheets in 27 Serie A games in the 2020-21 season.
