Manchester United maintain serious interest in Joachim Andersen
According to BT in Denmark (h/t Sport Witness), Manchester United have more than a passing fancy in securing the services of Danish ace Joachim Andersen.
The 24-year-old is currently on loan at Premier League strugglers Fulham. He has so far made 29 appearances for the Cottagers, grabbing one goal and assist apiece. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Originally from Lyon, the Dane remains hopeful that his stint at Fulham will attract attention to his services from elsewhere. That has certainly proven to be the case with United amongst his suitors.
According to the report, the Red Devils maintain a strong interest in Andersen. The player is said to have no future at Lyon, paving the way for United to make their move.
It is no secret that United are keen to bring in a new centre-back in the summer. While a number of targets are being monitored, it can be argued that Anderson is one that makes financial sense.
The 24-year-old’s contract at Lyon runs until 2024 and he is said to be available for as little as £25m.
Fulham too is interested in keeping Anderson. However, they will not only have to compete financially against us but will also avoid relegation to stand a chance. (h/t The Metro)
Andersen shares a close relationshipwith Cottagers boss Scott Parker. It will however matter for little unless they do manage to stave off relegation.
