Manchester United have been suffered a major setback as transfer target Amir Rrahmani’s entourage has opened up on Napoli man’s future intentions.
Any hopes the 20-time English champions had of landing him have taken a beating thanks to Amir’s agent, Gazeta Blic. The representative has now shed light on his client’s plans for the immediate future.
“There are several clubs interested, but the boy in Naples is fine and wants to play the Champions League with the Azzurri.” Blic told Calciomercato.
While several teams, including Ralf Rangnick’s side, remain interested, the centre-back has his sights set on remaining at the club.
With UEFA Champions League football set to return to Naples next season, Rrahmani is keen to experience it with them and this is a far cry from what he’ll experience at the Theatre of Dreams.
The Red Devils are far from title contenders at this moment, and it can be argued that a transfer to United is a downgrade. They are currently battling to qualify for next term’s UEFA Champions League.
