Manchester United are consistently linked with Joao Felix, whose future at Atletico Madrid is uncertain.

According to a recent story published by Cadena Ser, the Red Devils submitted a mammoth bid worth 125 million euros but it was turned down by the Rojiblancos.

The Spanish source have reported that in the coming weeks, Man Utd plot a new offer to sign the Portuguese international in the winter transfer window.

Earlier this month, Mundo Deportivo revealed that the Colchoneros have to sell star players to cover the financial losses of not reaching the Europa League and they could sell Felix, who does not have good relations with manager, Diego Simeone.

The Catalan news outlet mentioned that due to lack of game time, the Seleccao playmaker’s market value is now worth 70 million euros (£61.3million).

Felix has only started 5 games in the Spanish La Liga this season and that is why he has been frustrated.

The former Benfica attacker has already received 5 bookings and therefore, he missed the last league contest that Atletico lost against Mallorca.

Felix is a proven quality playmaker, who has been named in the Portuguese national squad for the FIFA World Cup.

The 23-year-old mainly plays in the No. 10 role behind the main center forward and at Old Trafford, the position is occupied by compatriot, Bruno Fernandes, who is irreplaceable in Ten Hag’s team.

Have your say – Should Man Utd offer £61.3million to sign Joao Felix in the winter transfer window?
