Manchester United have reportedly been told that they can secure services of West Ham United defender Issa Diop in the winter transfer window for £45m transfer fee.
The 20-times English champions are believed to be in the market for a new centre-back, after the departure of Chris Smalling, and uncertain future of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo.
The Red Devils were rumoured with Issa Diop last summer, and according to Sky Sports News, the team could have been given the green light to land the Frenchman in January.
The report claims that the Hammers need to sell players in the winter transfer window to balance the books and would be prepared to accept offers of £45m for the centre-back.
Reporter Kaveh Solhekol reports that ‘at least two Premier League teams’ are interested in securing the services of Diop, who is believed to collect in the region of £50,000 per week in wages at the London Stadium.
The Red Devils also continue to be rumoured with Borussia Dortmund’s winger Jadon Sancho, however, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side planning to make an official approach for his signature when the transfer window will be re-opened in January.
