The name of Nikola Milnekovic is consistently linked with Manchester United and it looks like the Old Trafford outfit really want to secure his signature in the summer.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Man Utd are strongly pressing to sign the Fiorentina star, who will be out of contract in just over 15 months.
TMW claim that it has now become clear that the Serbian central defender will not sign a contract extension with the Viola and therefore, he will leave in the summer transfer window.
Last month, La Nazione (via Fiorentina.it) reported that the 23-year-old player star can be signed in the next window for a maximum fee of 40 million euros (£34million).
Moreover, Man Utd perhaps have the edge if reports in the media are anything to go by, In February 2021, renowned Italian source in the form of Corriere Dello Sport revealed that Milenkovic would like to secure Old Trafford move.
The center back won the Serbian league title and the Serbian Cup with Partizan before moving to the Serie A. This season, he has scored three goals and provided an assist in the league but defensively, he has not been solid.
So far, Man Utd have conceded 32 goals in the Premier League this term, 11 more than league leaders Man City, who have played a game more as well. Things need to be strengthened at the back for the Red Devils to seriously challenge the Sky Blues for the title.
Do you think, Nikola Milenkovic is good enough to reinforce the defense in the summer?
