Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly attempt to make a surprise move for Man United forward Alexis Sanchez in the summer transfer window.
The Chile international winger was shipped out on loan to Serie A giants Inter Milan after failing to settle at Old Trafford, however, Alexis Sanchez is supposedly set to make a return to the 20-times English champions next month with his temporary spell in Italian top-tier about to come to an end.
The former Arsenal forward has not fared any better with Antonio Conte’s side, however, as Chilean has been restricted to just 11 Serie A games following an injury-plagued campaign.
Nevertheless, 90Min reports that the Spurs would be open to taking Sanchez for a season-long loan deal at North London club – a locale where he already has plenty of footballing experience following his three-year stint at the Emirates Stadium.
However, the report also suggests that Chile international forward himself would prefer a move abroad, and there are no guarantees that the Red Devils would allow the 31-year-old forward to join a Premier League rival.
Sanchez still has two years left on his current deal at Old Trafford, where he has found back of the net five times from 45 games since arriving at the club back in 2018.
