The agent of Ismaila Sarr has claimed that Manchester United wanted to sign the £35 million rated winger.
Sarr, 22, joined Watford in a club-record move from Rennes in 2019 but was widely tipped to leave the club following their relegation from the Premier League last season, but that never happened.
However, he has been putting in some strong performances over the past few months and that led to alot of speculation in the media that Liverpool did want to secure a transfer deal in the January window, but never went through with the move.
But his Agent Thierno Seydi has now come out and claimed that Manchester United showed a keen interest in signing the winger last summer: “During the summer, they wanted to sign him. At the last moment, they offered a loan without the option to buy,” Seydi was quoted on GOAL
“Watford did not accept this because they wanted the loan to include an agreement to buy him.”
Look, Sarr is far too good to be playing down in the Championship and needs to come back to the Premier League, he clearly has the talent to play for one of the big clubs in the top-flight.
We are sure that he will manage to get that big move that he wants in the summer, it will just be interesting to see where he ends up as these two clubs are massive, and could offer him the chance to play at the very highest level.
