Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a move for Leicester City playmkaer Youri Tielemans during the winter transfer window.
The Belgium international playmaker was heavily linked with a move away from the Foxes over the summer, however, the market ended with the 25-year-old still at the King Power Stadium.
Former AS Monaco midfielder has made seven games for Brendan Rodgers’s team this term, providing one assist, but he is out of deal next June and is seemingly unlikely to sign an extension at the club.
Arsenal and Liverpool were among the teams credited with a strong interest in the Belgian over the summer, however, according to Fichajes, the Red Devils are currently lining up a move.
The report suggests that the 20-times English champions are keen to sign a creative playmaker in January and view Tielemans as the ideal acquisition, as he is likely to be available in a cut-price deal.
The Red Devils head-coach Erik ten Hag allegedly wants a player who can rotate with Eriksen, and the team could have as much as £70m to spend during the winter transfer window.
The midfielder was again a vital player for Leicester last term, playing 50 games in all competitions, contributing seven goals and five assists in the process.
“That is not out of the question,” Tielemans told reporters over the summer when questioned on a possible exit. “I feel very good at Leicester, I was welcomed with open arms from day one. I give everything for the club until the last day.
“But of course you have to listen to other opportunities, you have to look at your career, and sometimes you have to make choices. Maybe one will come my way.”
The Belgian joined the Foxes from AS Monaco back in January 2019, initially on loan, and he has played 165 games for the Foxes in all competitions, founding back of the net 24 times and providing 25 assists.
