Manchester United and Liverpool are monitoring Derby County sensation Kaide Gordon, who is set to leave Pride Park over the next two weeks, according to a report by Sky Sports.

Kaide, just 16 years old, has excited scouts at Premier League sides due to his potential, while Derby head coach Wayne Rooney is also a big admirer.

Rooney gave Kaide his Championship debut in Derby’s 4-0 win over Birmingham City in last year’s December in a sign of how highly regarded the Englishman is at the club.

Both the Red Devils and the Reds are keen on the talented teenager and are watching his situation closely.

He is expected to quit Derby at some point over the next two weeks, but the Rams have already rejected offers of around the £1 million figure for him.

They are stated to rate Gordon, who has been capped by his country at Under-16 level, at over £2 million.

The board will also be looking for a sell-on clause as the club are sure he will go on to enjoy a productive career at the top of the game.

Meanwhile, Lille’s Boubakary Soumare remains a midfield target for United but won’t be coming to Old Trafford this month’s transfer window.

The Red Devils have sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old Frenchman previously and have been impressed with his displays.

But, as reports The Athletic, Boubakary is still on the back burner for the English giants for now, while Chelsea and Newcastle United are also keen.
