Manchester United and West Ham United both reportedly have Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt’s Director of Football, Fredi Bobic, on a wishlist of candidates for the role.

That’s according to SportBILD, who cover Fredi’s future as it looks increasingly likely he will quit Frankfurt this summer.

The German outlet explains that reports this week regarding a potential exit for Bobic in the summer are correct, with the 49-year-old German having publicly expressed his willingness to move on.

That, though, is something those in charge of Eintracht have been aware of for some time and, after trying to convince Fredi to stay with a better salary proposal, are resigned to him going.

The board have promised not to put any obstacles in his way, including demanding a transfer sum, and so Fredi, who considers his time at the club as completed, is now looking for his next job.

That is very likely to be at Hertha Berlin, with Fredi a fan of the club. He also enjoys a great relationship with their new CEO, Carsten Schmidt.

However, with Bobic’s contract talks dragging on, they fell into the background, and other potential suitors moved into the foreground.

This is where the Red Devils and the Hammers come in, with SportBILD stating that the PL clubs both ‘have him on their list’ alongside RB Leipzig.

Now there is no mention of contact or even an offer to the German, just that teams both have him on their list of possible candidates, which is a little surprising as neither Manchester United nor West Ham are known to be actively searching for a new Director of Football.
