According to Spanish outlet Todofichajes (h/t Juve FC), Juventus are willing to push hard for a deal to sign Manchester United target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
The 20-year-old winger had been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this past summer. The Red Devils wanted to strengthen their push for the Premier League title with Sancho as a marquee signing. The player himself was understood to be keen on a return to England.
However, United were forced to give up their pursuit of the England international due to Dortmund’s mammoth asking price. Sancho is likely to be in the market once again at the end of the season but it is now believed that the Red Devils are reluctant to make a renewed attempt to sign him.
That has opened the door for Juventus to step up their pursuit of the youngster. As per the report, Andrea Pirlo has asked the club’s chiefs to add another attacking player to his ranks, with Sancho very much on the Bianconeri’s radar.
Elsewhere, Sport 1 (h/t Express) reports that Dortmund could be willing to lower their financial demands over a potential sale for Sancho in the summer.
That’s because the Bundesliga club have suffered losses and are willing to sanction departures for their key players to balance the books.
It remains to be seen whether Sancho would be back on United’s radar in the coming months. The Red Devils forked out a staggering amount to sign highly-rated teenage winger Amad Diallo from Atalanta in January, which could make a deal for the Englishman somewhat unlikely in the summer.
