Community Shield holders Leicester City are reportedly keeping tabs on Manchester United playmaker Jesse Lingard this summer.

The 28-year-old spent the second half of last campaign on loan at West Ham United, where he managed to found back of the net nine times and provided five assists in 16 Premier League appearences.

England international midfielder has since returned to Old Trafford for pre-season training, however, he is currently self-isolating, after testing positive for coronavirus.

According to Football.London, the Foxes will consider making a move for Lingard in the summer as a potential replacement for the Gunners target James Maddison.

The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a transfer to the Emirates Stadium, though the North London giants would need to fork out in excess of £60m if they were to recruit the midfielder this summer.

Lingard, who has entered the final year of his current deal at Old Trafford, would be willing to depart from the Red Devils if he knew he would get regular first-team football somewhere elsewhere.

West Ham United boss David Moeyss is also keen on luring English midfielder away from Old Trafford and ready to rivals Leicester City for his services.
