Manchester United have been linked with Jack Grealish, who scored a brilliant goal at Old Trafford earlier in the campaign.
The Aston Villa skipper recently broke the coronavirus lockdown and was penalized for it. Mirror Sport understands that the 24-year-old may stay with the Birmingham based club if the season is voided.
At the same time, the British source have mentioned that the playmaker, who was on course for moving to Old Trafford in the summer, could still end up securing £70million Manchester United move.
After 28 league games, Villa have only earned 25 points in the Premier League and are currently in 19th place.
If the season is voided, they will be able to stay in the top flight of English football and hence, Grealish may want to continue to play for his boyhood club, who are prepared to offer him a bumper new contract (Mirror Sport).
However, it must be taken into consideration that if he really wants to win trophies then he should look to leave for a bigger team. In such a scenario, moving to Manchester United would surely be a big step up in his career.
The versatile playmaker is naturally a central attacking midfielder but this season, he has mainly played on the left wing and has impressed big time. The captain is the leading goalscorer (9 goals) and also the top assist provider (8 assists).
The Old Trafford outfit did sign a natural CAM in the winter transfer window in the form of Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese international won the PL Player of the Month award in his first month with the Red Devils and I do not think that anyone else should play in the No. 10 role.
So, if Jack Grealish does end up moving to Manchester United, then Solskjaer should deploy him on the left flank or in the central midfield.
