Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho is reportedly open to make summer move to Manchester United.
The 20-year-old Englishman has become one of the most sought-after prospects in Europe following his form in the Germany top-tier this campaign, having found back of the net 14 times and provided 16 assists in the Bundesliga before the coronavirus suspension.
The 20-times English champions are believed to be leading the race to secure the services of Jadon Sancho, and the Red Devils have supposedly received a significant transfer boost in their pursuit of the former Man City ace.
According to The Athletic, Man Utd would be an attractive option for Jadon Sancho as the forward has friends in the area from his time at bitter rivals Man City.
The report also suggests that Liverpool and Chelsea are unwilling to meet Dortmund’s £120m asking price for the forward.
Sancho has scored 31 goals in 90 appearences for Lucien Favre’s side since joining them from the Citizens back in 2017.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Man Utd in the race to secure the services of Napoli forward Dries Mertens on a free transfer ahead of the 2020-21 season.
The 32-year-old, whose current contract in Naples will end at the end of June, was rumoured with a move to Chelsea during the winter transfer window, however, the West London club could not get a deal over the line.
Frank Lampard’s side, in addition to the Red Devils, are still thought to be interested in securing the services of the Belgium international once his current contract expires.
