Manchester United will reportedly face stiff competition from three other teams for Paris Saint-Germain centre-forward Edinson Cavani at the end of the 2019-20 season.
The 20-times English champions are allegedly keen to secure the services of the Uruguay international forward on a transfer this summer with his deal in Paris due to end on June 30.
However, according to AS, the Red Devils will face competition from Boca Juniors, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.
The 33-year-old is Ligue 1 defending champions, PSG’s all-time leading goalscorer with 200, while he has managed to found back of the net seven times in 22 appearences this campaign despite struggling for a regular spot.
Any move for Edinson Cavani could depend on whether the Red Devils attempt to secure the services of Odion Ighalo, who joined on loan from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua in the winter transfer window, on a permanent deal.
The South American was heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid during the winter transfer window, however, was allegedly priced out of a move to the Wanda Metropolitano.
Meanwhile, Man Utd also eyeing a move for another Uruguayan star Diego Godin who has been at Inter Milan and following his limited playing time at San Siro he might be open to make a switch to Old Trafford.
