£18.3million star prepared to secure Man United move soon – Talks in full swing

The transfer saga surrounding Alex Telles has dragged on for far too long and Manchester United must act fast to get his signing done. The defender is desperate to move to Old Trafford (The Star) but the asking price is a problem.

According to latest reports going on in the media (A Bola via Sport Witness), the talks between the Red Devils and Porto are in full swing and the Portuguese club are looking to sell the player for a fee of around 20-25 million euros.

In Britain, The Guardian have revealed that Telles and Man United believe the valuation of £18.3million (20 million euros) is very high taking into consideration that the player will be out of contract in June 2021.

It is stated that the 27-year-old is aiming to join the Red Devils this week and a fee of just £12million is considered to be much more realistic.

In all fairness, this is getting very frustrating as a supporter. Not for the first time, the Old Trafford outfit find themselves stuck because they want to agree a reduced fee.

We have been linked with Jadon Sancho for a very long time and for months, we have known that Dortmund want £108million (The Mail) for their prized asset and they are not prepared to offer any sort of discount.Still, the Red Devils have wasted their time trying to bring the asking price down and have obviously failed. We still have not signed an alternative either.

Now, it is absolutely annoying that for proven quality star like Alex Telles, United are hoping to force down the fee to secure the signing.

We have already lost our opening Premier League fixture this term and need reinforcements at the earliest, therefore, it is baffling that United are playing poker and delaying the deal for a small difference in price of just over £6million.
