Manchester United will “decide soon” over Sergio Reguilon, who has been offered to the club by Real Madrid.
It is no secret that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to splash the cash a little more to improve key areas of the pitch and adding a new left-back to the side is high up on his list of things to do this summer.
United may have a very exciting attack that will cause some major damage next season, but there are big areas at the back that need to be sorted and Reguilon has become a sought after player this summer.
The Real Madrid left-back, who helped dump United out of the Europa League last month on loan at Sevilla, has been on Chelsea’s radar this summer before they landed Ben Chilwell after helping the Spanish side regain the Europa League title.
United have not flown out of the blocks with an offer for the player though and are holding off making an offer to see if they are able to land their top left-back transfer target before making an official offer.
However, Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Reguilon has been offered to Manchester United, he tweeted: “Sergio Reguilón has been offered to Man United. The board and Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] are considering him as an ‘option’.
“They’re gonna decide soon. Also Sevilla have asked to have him back on loan from Real Madrid. The race is still on [also for other clubs].”
If the reports are true and he has been offered to the club, it will be interesting to see if a deal gets done.
