Red Devils have shown an interest in Stade Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga, but so have a string of European clubs, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus all tracking his progress. U21 France international made his debut last campaign, becoming the youngest footballer ever to turn out for the club at just 16 years and four months old.

Eduardo has built on that, going on to be a regular in the team this campaign, playing 36 games in all tournaments for the French club. Born in Angola, Camavinga has already represented France at U-21 level, and it is looking likely that he will make a big move with the big teams circling.

Rennes want to keep hold of Eduardo, and may well do so if they make it into the UCL next campaign, but La Liga giants are most likely to test their resolve this summer. Los Blancos are set to make a move for the Frenchman this summer, which Ligue 1 club will try and fend off, but it is never easy when the Spanish giants come calling.

Red Devils, Juventus and Barcelona are all monitoring the situation, and if the 17-year-old does look ready for a move this summer, then they would look to win the battle for his signature. Stade Rennes are third in Ligue 1 during the covid hiatus, only behind league leaders PSG and Marseille.

If Stade Rennais can stay in that position, they will be in the Champions League next campaign. Camavinga is likely to stay put if Stade Rennes do make it into Europe’s top competition, continuing his development in the first team, which he would certainly not be guaranteed elsewhere.
