Mason Greenwood is enjoying a stunning season.
The Manchester United youngster has emerged as a genuine first-team star in recent months and only confirmed how good he is at the weekend.
Indeed, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side ran out 5-2 winners over a ragged AFC Bournemouth side and Greenwood was on the scoresheet twice.
He is still just 18 but already has 45 appearances under his belt for the senior side, scoring 15 goals and registering a further five assists.
He is clearly a precocious talent and his ability has long been evident – he scored 34 goals in 34 games for the U18s and has already netted once in his four England U21 caps.
Greenwood, then, has taken to Premier League football like a duck to water and it is perhaps no surprise that vultures are already circling.
Of course, United remain one of the biggest clubs in world football so one could make the argument that they have no need to worry about their brightest prospects merely being picked off but when Real Madrid get involved, one has to wonder.
Indeed, Don Balon reports that Real chief Florentino Perez is “infatuated” with Greenwood and could launch a huge summer bid.
That he can play as a striker or on either flank is said to appeal to Real but his asking price is said to stand at €100 million (£90.6m).
that guys is the brightest prospect for man united future and also the biggest asset that man united own for now,so he should not be sold for any reason.
