Arsenal are no longer considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey who has been also rumoured with a switch to Man Utd, according to a report.
The 23-year-old – who is currently representing Jamaica at the Gold Cup – has now two years left on his current deal with the German giants and is expected to leave the club this summer for the right price.
The North London giants and Man Utd were rumoured to have been interested in a deal for Bailey, who ended the 2020-21 Bundesliga campaign by scoring nine goals and providing nine assists from 30 games.
However, Football Insider reports that Arsenal have cooled their interest in the attacker after becoming aware of ‘attitude issues’ while scouting the 23-year-old.
The report adds that Aston Villa – who beat Arsenal to the signing of Emiliano Buendia earlier in the summer- are now keeping tabs on his signature alongside with Manchester United.
Bailey has claimed one assist from two games at the Gold Cup so far, with Jamaica set to face the USA in Sunday’s quarter-final match.
Man Utd meanwhile have finalised the transfer of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, while Arsenal rewarded Emilly Smith Rowe with a new long-term deal.
