Manchester United have been put on red alert as Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly contemplating whether to table a £64 million bid for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

The 27-year-old star has said that he remains happy with life in Italy, in spite of not holding down a regular starting role under the Italian head coach Andrea Pirlo.

However, with just over 18 months remaining on his deal, the Argentina international has inevitably been linked with a transfer elsewhere.

Manchester United are understood to be monitoring the situation surrounding the former Palermo youngster.

Reports in the UK and Italy have also stated that Manchester United could sign Paulo as part of a swap deal for the France international Paul Pogba, who looks set to depart Old Trafford in 2021.

However, a report on Todofichajes states that Spurs are weighing up a big-money proposal.

Despite already having plenty of attacking variants at his disposal, Jose Mourinho is said to want club senior figures to move for Dybala in January.

Although the star has contributed just two goals this campaign, the Old Lady are unlikely to agree to a sale at the midway point of the season.

Juventus attacker has also admitted that he has been left frustrated by the latest speculation surrounding his long-term future with the Italian side.

“So many things that aren’t true have been said in relation to my contract,” he told Sky Italia.

“My agent was in Turin for a long time and was never called up by the club. It disappoints me to hear talk of invested financial figures,

“It would be better if the truth could be told, because talking about those aspects in this period pits the fans against me, with all the love I have for Juventus.”
