Manchester United reportedly plan on keeping loanee Anthony Martial next term, despite the lack of certainty over who will manage the Red Devils.

The French star was given permission to sign for Sevilla on loan two months ago after asking to depart Old Trafford during discussions with Ralf Rangnick.

The German tactician saw little reason in keeping him but the club have struggled in front of goal in an unhappy player’s absence, with Cristiano Ronaldo netting just once in his last ten games.

They plan on signing a number nine this summer but they are yet to make an official announcement over who will be in charge of the side.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Mauricio Pochettino is the current frontrunner to take charge but Ajax’s Erik Ten Hag is under consideration as well, and any decision over Anthony’s future will ultimately be left with the head coach.

But the 20-time English champions are operating under a fresh structure and Ralf, who will take on a two-year consultancy position at the end of the term, will be given a say on stars.

Senior figure Darren Fletcher will also be given a say and United’s preference is to keep the former Monaco youngster, according to the Daily Mail.
