Man United accelerate plans to bring Spanish ace to Old Trafford

Manchester United are weighing up a move for La Liga outfit Valencia forward Ferran Torres, the reports from Spain say.

The Spaniard has impressed for Los Che during the 2019-20 campaign, registering six goals and seven assists in all competitions.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho is understood to be United’s number one target heading into the summer transfer market, but the Red Devils are supposedly making contingency plans should BVB’s asking price for the Englishman prove too much.

According to Fichajes, Ferran’s agent has been in contact with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side regarding a proposed summer move for the 20-year-old, who only has one year left to run on his existing deal at the Mestalla Stadium.

The report states that the Spaniard could be set to quit Valencia after his relationship with chairman Peter Lim deteriorated, but United would have to ward off interest from Manchester City and Liverpool for his signature.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer’s side are reportedly on the verge of sealing a deal for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

The Aston Villa playmaker is believed to be a target for the 20-time English champions after impressing in his first campaign back in the Premier League.

It is claimed by the Daily Express rivals the Citizens are also in the hunt, with Pep Guardiola eyeing Jack as a replacement for David Silva.

However, the 24-year-old Englishman, who has managed nine goals and six assists in 34 games this season, is on the verge of moving to Old Trafford.
